Ask your state legislators to complete a survey
Is your legislator a champion for public education? A good way to find out is to review their responses to a public education survey distributed to candidates in 2006, and redistributed to all legislators in 2007.

Don't see a response from your legislator? Give them a call to let them know that their constituents appreciate knowing where they stand on significant education policy issues. You can also mail, fax, or email your legislators the survey, with a note letting them know how important the issue is to you and how important their answers are.
