Spotlight on Advocacy

Our featured event this month is Take Your Legislator to School Day. Throughout the month of October, students around the state will have an opportunity to invite their legislator to tour their school and begin a dialogue about the successes and challenges that they experience every day. Now more than ever, students must develop a clear understanding of their citizenship roles and practice them in order to succeed in the 21st century's political, economic and social climate.

Good Schools Pennsylvania has created a toolkit to guide students and administrators through the planning process of Take Your Legislator to School Day.  The toolkit can be downloaded by following the For Students link in the Connect in Your Community section.
